The Mammoglams are members of the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission and have just returned from competing in their 4th International Festival - 2026 Aix-les-Baines, France, 2023 Lake Karapiro, NZ,  2018 Florence Italy, 2014 Sarasota, FL. The IBCPC proudly announced the 2030 Festival will be held in Singapore and 2034 will be in Australia. Want to find out how out how you too can be part of these exciting adventures?

​​The Sandy Smith Global Finale, where each paddler represents a different team, leads a flotilla of boats to the closing ceremonies.  The Flower Ceremony is always a touching end to the festival and honors those who have lost their battle. This year our team had two very special honors.  Marie Dodson represented the Mammoglams in the Sandy Smith race and 2 original songs written by our very own Annabelle Gallois-Bernos were played at the beginning of the ceremonies:

​​​​​​The IBCPC is an international organization (under the auspices of the International Dragon Boat Federation) whose mandate is to encourage the establishment of breast cancer dragon boat teams, within the framework of participation and inclusiveness. Every 4 years they hold an international BCS Festival with thousands of breast cancer survivors from around the world in attendance. For the first time since the establishment of IBCPC in 2010, the 2026 festival took place in

Aix-les-Baines, France, August 24-30th. The festival is a non-competitive participatory event for breast cancer paddler teams who engage in Dragon Boat activities as post breast cancer diagnosis rehabilitation. This event brought together 170 teams from 30 different countries and 4,500 participants to participate in a highly emotional experience.  Find more details at https://ibcpcfrance2026.com
